Description:

The scad is elongated with a cylindrical body and a forked tail. The color is steel blue above and on the sides and silvery below that line. They also have very large eyes.

Range:

The Scad is found along the Florida coast, the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

Habitat:

Reefs and other outside waters and also in and near inlets.
