Description:

The Spanish Sardine is more elongated and less flattened than other Herrings, it has silver sides and a green back. Spanish Sardines have no markings.

Feeding Habits:

The Spanish Sardine feed on plankton and crustaceans.

Range:

Widespread in all areas of the coasts.

Habitat:

Common on inshore flats, but occur in deep water too.

Typical Size:

This sardine is 3-6 inches long and are minimal in weight.
