Description:

Spotted Pinfish are oval and compressed. They are silvery overall with bluish sides and yellow stripes and 5 to 6 faint dusky bars. They have a dark patch just behind the gill cover and their fins are yellow.

Feeding Habits:

Pinfish feed on shrimp and other crustaceans.

Range:

Widespread in the Gulf Coast area.

Habitat:

The pinfish enjoy shallow waters with grassy bottoms.

Pinfish are 4-6 inches long and a few ounces in weight.
